Jessica Stewart is a Contributing Writer and Digital Media Specialist for My Modern Met, as well as a curator and art historian. Since 2020, she is also one of the co-hosts of the My Modern Met Top Artist Podcast. She earned her MA in Renaissance Studies from University College London and now lives in Rome, Italy. She cultivated expertise in street art which led to the purchase of her photographic archive by the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia in 2014. When she’s not spending time with her three dogs, she also manages the studio of a successful street artist. In 2013, she authored the book 'Street Art Stories Roma' and most recently contributed to 'Crossroads: A Glimpse Into the Life of Alice Pasquini'. Over 7,000 Steel Panels Line Façade of Europe’s Largest Solar Power Plant in Turkish Desert

Nestled in Turkey's only desert region, a striking piece of architecture complements the 3.2 million solar panels that fill the area. The Central Control Building is a centerpiece for Kalyon Energy's 1,350 MWp solar power plant, which has the capacity to be the largest solar energy power plant in Europe. Designed by Bilgin Architects, the building's façade is lined with 7,200 stainless steel panels to help it blend into the desert environment.

Incredible Winners of the 2024 British Wildlife Photography Awards

After evaluating over 14,000 images, the 2024 British Wildlife Photography Awards deemed Ryan Stalker‘s photograph of a soccer ball adrift in the ocean the winner. But this is no ordinary soccer ball. Having washed up in Dorset after a journey across the Atlantic, it also transported barnacles that clung to the plastic. Stalker's stunning photo provokes thoughts about how ocean waste can transport invasive living organisms from one place to another.

Artist Transforms Home With Giant Zentangle Mural of a Lion

Brazilian street artist Danilo Oliveira, also known as Danilo Roots, paints impressive art that brightens up any wall. He works on both interiors and exteriors to create pieces that look like giant zentangles. With thick black lines and geometric patterns, his pieces boldly stand out. Oliveira often posts videos of his creative process on Instagram, and we were particularly captivated by one video.
